I am here in my new place in Sheffield. Its wicked. At first I wasn't sure and thought it looked a bit plain but that was only because it didn't have any of my stuff in.. now its wicked! Really happy with the flat and my room, just a shame its empty apart from me. Rick & Alex come down on Saturday which isn't too far away but I've not spoke to anyone else properly yet.. my mum took her time about leaving so before I knew it it was dark and everyone was back in their rooms. Opportunity missed. Oh well. I'm doing OK, I've cooked, cleaned and done some laundry.
A bit gutted to be spending my first night on my own and on facebook (??!!) but whatever, I'll watch a DVD in a bit and get a good night sleep.

Location-wise its great. I'm on the ground floor looking out over the communal grass bit. Its easy to get to from my house and easy to find even though I don't know Sheffield especially well. Its right near Bramall Lane (Sheffield United FC) which is going to get busy tomorrow with the Sheffield Derby. AND its got a poem by Jarvis Cocker mounted on the wall which is really cool.
I haven't had much of a chance to explore yet but hopefully will when I head to the Post Office to get some of the post I've missed.
