Arctic Monkeys - Secret Door (Live for Radio 1 and Zane Lowe)

This is an early favourite track from "Humbug". I also love Pretty Visitors, Potion Approaching and Cornerstone. Alex's eyes when he is going hard at his singing are slightly unnerving though!!

Today has been good. I woke up early and had a massive confirmation package from Sheffield Hallam to sort out my accomodation and stuff which I've filled out. Took it round to Rick's (we're going together hopefully) and we chose what we wanted. Made 3 choices, all self-catered partnership residences. I don't know if we'll get them because I've left it late what with clearing etc. and they are all quite popular I think, but I'm optimistic as ever and would be happy in any of them to be honest.
First choice is The Forge, Second is The Trigon, and third is Exchange Works. All of them are relatively new, in good locations and quite large which is good because I want to meet as many people as possible. I hope we get the Forge!

From Rick's I drove to Danbo's and onto the city game. Yes, we are both called Dan, and both Man City fans. I'd missed out on getting tickets for today (Vs. Wolves) because my dad has been busy and didn't get organised enough, but Dan had a spare as he has 4 season tickets in his family and they've all gone away for the week. Only problem was his dad had already given his away so I had to go on his younger sister's which was a bit dodgy getting in as because she's a child its ripping the club off a bit and they're really cracking down on it this year. I know we can afford it but I did feel a little guilty, the stewards at the gates were checking everyone so I was getting a little nervous but then someone in front of us didn't know how to swipe their card so while the steward was helping them I was a bit sneaky and just went for it. It worked this time but could easily go wrong so next time I'll see if I can sort it on my own card to avoid not getting in.
Once we were in we took our seats, the stadium was packed which was good to see. A good performance in the first half, Adebayor scored a wicked goal, the buildup was superb. Him and Tevez look good together, both really put a shift in today. I am so happy we have Adebayor and Toure from Arsenal, both of them look wicked signings, I can't believe Arsenal haven't won anything in so long when you consider their squad in the last few seasons. Second Half City were poor, we should have been 3/4 nil up but just couldn't create anything, we had a goal disallowed and Wolves hit the bar so it was a little nervy but in the end we ground it out and it finished 1-0. I'm a little frustrated with the 2nd half but I suppose good teams are the ones who win even when they play underpar so as long as its 3 points I can't really complain. Wolves looked pretty limited, although Mancienne and Keogh were good today I thought, and Kevin Doyle had a good impact when he came on. I'm undecided as to whether they'll stay up though.

I enjoy going to the football with Dan over my dad sometimes to mix things up. We have pretty similar seats usually but Dan never fails to make me chuckle with his views, the quote in the title was one of his today! Also when Steven Ireland missed a sitter he had me laughing. He just said "Kryptonite." "Excuse me Dan?" "I blame Kyriptonite!!" I love little stuff like this.

I had a bit of a nap then was back out to Altrincham for a girl's birthday. Everyone was heading into Manchester but I spent far too much on results night so gave it a miss. I went and met Emma for a bit, drove her home and I've just got in now. Enjoyable day.
