The morning after I got back from Beni (yesterday morning) I had an unwanted early start as I needed to head to Liverpool to get a replacement passport sorted as I go away with family to Prague on Tuesday (I've been so lucky with all these holidays this year). I have been to the passport office a couple of times and Liverpool even more so I managed to walk there from memory for the first time which was good. Normally I'd have to get a taxi so the saved money was welcome.
I went in and was seen straight away but they wouldn't accept my first choice of photo because they had already been used on the passport I lost, or the 2nd batch I got from the Consulate in Barcelona because the background was "too white" which was a bit of a joke. I had to leave and find somewhere which did them "correctly" which was a bit of a waste of effort.
I headed back and it all went without a hitch but I couldn't leave Liverpool because I was collecting later in the day, so I had 4 hours to kill.
So after I had got some breakfast I headed into Liverpool:One and did a little shopping. In HMV I bought Babyshamble's first album after their fantastic performance but I haven't had a chance to listen. Then I went to Boots and bought some hair gel which had been lost and from there headed to the cinema (for the first time in a long while) and watched Sacha Baren Cohen's new film, Bruno. It was good but not a patch on Borat, my favourite bit was without a doubt when he was on the chatshow (see below) then when he started the riot at the wrestling but to be honest it was just a little bit too crude to be fully enjoyed. Disappointing really.
I picked up the passport and headed home, then in the evening headed out to see mates. I was planning on driving so was just talking with my lad mates I hadn't seen in a long while and some local girls who we'd met in Zante and now chill with. Basically one thing led to another and then we all (8 people) decided to take advantage of my free house so after a stop to the supermarket we all headed back and things got pretty messy very quickly playing ring of fire. We watched Stepbrothers and White Chicks aswell and good time was had.
The girls just left this morning and all the lads are in bed but since Beni I get up quite early so I've got a bit of tidying to do until the rest of my family get back later on. Also, the house is basically empty of food so I need to sort that out..!
Today I'm sending off my final Student Finance Application, speaking to the bank about a new card, speaking to my travel insurance about making a claim, and trying to put in motion getting a replacement driving license.
