Last night we all went to a friends house for his 18th. It started off kind of slow but got better and better and in the end was a really good night. A lot of his family were there and there was a really good atmosphere. The jukebox was good but seemed to have a mind of its own. Learnt a couple of new drinking games involving a supersoaker and a clothes peg which was a good laugh. We thought maybe it would be a bit of a lad-fest because it was another girl's birthday night out on the same night but there was a really good crowd. There were some pretty strange family dynamics on display though, with cousins and brothers and sisters dancing pretty provocatively with eachother haha. Good fun though ![]()
I've just given my dad his fathers day stuff. A Simon & Garfunkel CD collection and a book of the story of Factory Records which were both good choices as he's pretty obsessive with them. I also love Factory Record's story, 24 hour party people and reading about the Manchester scene back then with Hacienda etc. so I'll get to read it after him too. He seemed pretty pleased.
I'm doing more gardening and as many jobs round the house as I can this week to get a bit of extra cash together. We go to Zante on Sunday and I've spent £100 this weekend so far so need to sort that out. I'm driving out to another 18th tonight and am giving a few people lifts so hopefully will get a little from that. I think I'll try to collect my Fantasy Football winnings aswell. Money is hard. I need to get a proper job.
It looks like City are going to sign Roque Santa Cruz. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Hughes managed to get the best out of him last season at Blackburn but this season he's been pants. While he is the type of tall targetman we need I'm not sure he's the best player for us right now, and I'm not that sure he's actually as good as people think. He was pretty unremarkable at Bayern Munich before he came to England and this season, and I feel bad for Caciedo because he is getting pushed down the pecking order and I really like him.
Its looking like Tevez will either play for us or Chelsea next season aswell. This is fantastic news, I'm pretty convinced he's coming to us because he's just set his young daughter up at a Private school here in Manchester for September in the last month which not many people know, and has bought a house. I ignored this at the time because I thought perhaps he was going to join Liverpool and his mate Mascherano but now I'm pretty confident he's coming to us. Top player. All my united mates want him to come to us over Chelsea as we're "not a threat yet."
We'll have to see about that!
