Yesterday me, my dad and Uncle went to the City-Bolton game. It was ultimately meaningless but it was a good game nontheless. It had everything, City were tearing them to pieces at points and playing really well, there was a great atmosphere, a couple of streakers, and a smoke bomb was let off. It was a beautiful day and there was a really relaxed atmosphere which was good. Glauber Berti made a longawaited appearence and didn't look half bad which was good.. shame he didn't get played more.. I hope he does well wherever he goes next season.
With 20 minutes to go a young guy Vladimir Weiss came on, he's a Slovakian right winger and looked really good. I'd watched him in the Youth Cup Final where he was absolutely incredible and scored an amazing Free Kick. He's my age and hangs out with some girls I know, but he looked class. Was really lively, tricky, pacey and confident. Him and looked to have a good understanding and he ripped some of the Bolton players a couple of times.. I look forward to him and Robinho playing more together next season.
Because it was the last game the players all did a lap of honour at the end which was a nice touch. Most of the fans stayed in the ground to applaud so it was good.

We saw Stephen Ireland's car again and noticed some more details. He's had his squad number, (7) put on the rims. Its an incredible car but always really dirty!

Newcastle were relegated yesterday.. At first I laughed but I do feel harsh having experienced relegation as a fan myself. They didn't deserve to stay up though over the course of the season and I could see it coming with Shearer saying the day before he "expected them to escape." Oh well, it will be good for football manager next year at least!
Also, I got a bit of an unexpected windfall yesterday as I won our FantasyFootball League. Its all united fans apart from me and one other guy so it got called "Pride of All Europe." I guess its kind of ironic then that I won without using any United players all season!Gutted for Sheffield United in the Championship Playoffs just now.. was listening on the radio and sounds like they were poor. I didn't want Burnley in the Premiership though!! I guess I'll just have to make do with Championship football at uni next year! ![]()
After the game I walked into Manchester for a friend's brother's 21st. The bar was owned by the guys dad again, but its a different one from last time. He plays rugby at uni so some of the people there were absolutely huge and there were a couple of young professional players there. Outside a group of our mates (about 10/200 there) and a couple of adults I knew no-one there but it was still a good night.
