The last few days have been pretty emotional!
We turned up on Thursday for our last full day without any pranks in mind (escpecially ones involving sheep!!) but it was still a pretty good day. All the teachers were really relaxed, there was no work and we just had a good laugh all day. Our common room is really bare so we nicked some big A3 Coloured display paper from one of the rooms and made a "Class of 2009" wall which was absolutely hilarious. Everyone wrote stuff about eachother.. mainly rude stuff but it was absolutely brilliant and brought back some really good memories. Head of 6th Form didn't see the funny side and so took most of the graffiti'd paper down which was a shame but we still got the pictures. It was all good natured so its a shame they took it down.
We tried to tape one of our mates to a table but he got away minus a shoe and his schoolbag, so we played a fun game of "Find the Pop" (He's called Pop) where we were looking through the school grounds, Hale Barns, Hale and Altrincham for him, and he was running around with only one show. It was like a vast game of manhunt, we were all driving round looking for him in carparks and doing a really coordinated operation, while he was ringing us up with clues and hints. That lasted about 2 hours and was really fun.
While I was in a history lesson and after Pop had made his return I had to give him my car keys so he could go in and get his stuff from my boot. That was a big mistake. When everyone else saw him they stripped him down to his boxers and he ran away down the main road with cars beeping and his older brother and dad's mates all driving past finding it hilarious. He was loving all the attention he got.. he's a complete legend and we all love him to bits. Anyway, in his rushed escape Pop had left my car keys behind. The mob got a hold of them, and because it was the last day, they drove Sherman (my Passat) into the woods next to the car park at our school. Then they trashed my car with mud, compost, cling film branches, flower tubs and a shopping trolley?!? I came back an hour later and it looked like this..

If it had been any other day I would have been annoyed but because it was the last day ever of school it was all taken in good nature, everyone was getting stuff done to them. Pictures were taken, and we cleaned it up and 10 minutes later she was spotless!

That night we had a Leavers Dinner at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, home to Lancashire. Its really good, I've seen the Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead there, and its 2 minutes walk from Man Utd's Old Trafford, but I wouldn't expect half of my united fan readers to know that :P
The dinner was really nice, we had presentations of some college colours. I got a tie for rugby which was a bit of a surprise because I stopped playing just after Christmas and I the coach wasn't too happy when I did. Was pretty chuffed with that though. Our Year 7 portraits were shown which was pretty funny, and there was a leaver's video recorded in the last week with interviews from the teachers and pupils. It was funny in parts but was a bit of a missed opportunity because half of the year didn't know about it and we didn't really get an input. The food was nice though, and we even managed to walk on the pitch. Before a security guard came and went mental, saying we should have £1000 fines for doing so! Seemed pretty stupid, especially because there was a staircase leading directly from our suite down to the pitch. Anyway we had fun and from the dinner left the teachers behind (apart from one! Mr Ellwell - legend) and headed into Manchester.

We went to Varsity which was absolutely shocking. All of us being there meant it was a huge cockfest.. and it was really chavvy. Didn't like it at all. From there we prowled the casino's of Manchester. We went to Circus (I was already a member) and 235 (had to sign up) and while I don't really like gambling casinos are a good laugh. Its easy to see how you could get addicted to gambling though. I stopped betting when I went £25 down on roulette machines because I'm pretty skint anyway, but everyone else was making an absolute mint. About 5 people of the 20 made more than £100, a load more got about £70 each and one guy's luck was really in and he walked out of the casino £1400 richer! None of us could believe it when he told us and showed the receipt, its absolutely insane, but by the end to get up to that amount he was doing some silly bets.. £50 on black, £10 on 0 (which actually came out and won him an absolute mint). I really could have done with that money! We got home about 5.30AM.

Today we've had a leaver's mass which was alright as church services go, a good attendance but everyone was pretty rough and you could tell from our singing! Haha
We also had one last time chilling in the common room which was a nice touch. Looking back now I've loved highschool and the last couple of years in 6th form have been wicked! Its a bit of a bubble though and you feel like it will last forever so it hasn't sunk in that we've left apart from exams. We're all moving on to bigger and better things and its coming at a good time.. I will look back fondly on our time together as a year.
