American.
It would make this politics so much easier. I'm studying for a module, Gov 4, which is a comparison of British & American political systems. Except its not. The notes I've got are only about 20% British at most, and 80% American, because there's so much more to it. We're a small country so we've got a pretty small system, its easy to understand. For me anyway.
The House Of Commons is where the MPs are.
The House Of Lords is like a blind, deaf guy with no arms trying to fight the Commons its so weak. Since the 1999 reforms and Parliament Act in 1949 anyway.
The Prime Minister is head of the majority party in the commons, and dominates it in every way, and can do pretty much whatever he likes.
Thats a VERY basic explanation for us.
America is infinitely more complicated.. there's federal and state governments, congress, senate, the President (who can do nothing, even the smallest things, without senate approval), so many more state officials, I just don't understand why they've made it so complicated. Its almost as if they wanted to Not be able to run their country! Or they wanted people like me to fail politics exams! If I was American, maybe I'd get it.. maybe it would be easier to understand.. maybe it would just come naturally!

Besides from that I watched Gangs Of New York tonight. That is a quality film, my eyes were glued to the screen, the initial fight scene wasn't brilliant, but the riots and fighting later on in the film made up for it later on. There were so many actors I knew in it aswell, Leo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis, Cameron Diaz, then there was John C. Reilly in a pretty serious role. Bit of a change from when I saw him in Talladega nights. Then there was Stephen Graham (from This Is England and Arctic Monkeys Videos), and Larry Gilliard Jnr. (from The Wire), Jim Broadbent (The Borrowers and Moulin Rouge) and briefly, Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon Jinn! Man I love Star Wars!) Anyway yeah, I loved it, was a good cast I thought, very entertaining film, and very well done but you expect that from Martin Scorcese anyway right?
One more thing. I remember this song from when I was younger.. but then didn't hear it for years and forgot about it completely until I heard it again this week, it made me very nostalgic. I had no Idea it was Oasis when i was younger, but I loved it.. its funny how things work out! Anyway, songs like this are why they're class, even if it isn't their riff.. Cool video aswell. See - One Flew Over A Cuckoo's Nest, there's loads of references to it.

So, you haven't spotted who actually runs America yet?
