At the moment i don't know what I want to be. To be honest, I'm not really thinking about it. I'm more thinking what I'd like to do. I'd love to see the world, but can't face taking a year out to go travelling, i just want to straight into uni. I can't wait for uni, I want things to really happen for me there. Ultimately, I want to contribute or change something in Popular culture. Whether it be being in a successful band or setting up an entrepreneural business, i want people to be able to know my name.
I've had a dream plan for a while, which would leave me rich, famous, and with a huge empire. Basically, when I'm 18 I want to start putting things in motion.

Step 1 - Start a clubnight.

A dance-D'n'B-HipHop-Electro riot. Not your usual one genre club night playing the usual stuff. I want it to be not in a nightclub, but more an independant music venue sort of place, like Sankeys or MohoLive in Manchester, or Koko in London. It would start weekly, and would be aimed at the students of Manchester, who would come and go absolutely mental for the night.
This would progress, and eventually Guest DJs,MCs,Rappers or other performers would come in and headline the nights, as like a climax for what will stay a club night. (They would be local acts to start with to ensure a sellout for cheap booking fee)

Step 2. - Move Out
As the night gets bigger and more popular, as soon as is financially viable, step 2 of my ambitious plan would mean moving out of the venue we start at wherever that may be, and get a space of our own. Be it an Old Warehouse or whatever, refurbished it would act as a center to Manchester nightlife. As part of this space, there will also be another smaller room, which can then become an intimate live venue. From here acts will play, whatever the genre, it must be lively and crowdpleasing. All performances would be filmed, some made avaliable on the internet (like fabchannel or an equivalent) while more popular acts would be avaliable on DVD or Download, to earn both artist and venue some cash.

Step 3. - Record Label

Basically, any top unsigned talent which plays at the venue will then be released on the company record label. This will be ran Indie DIY style, but won't be just restricted to Indie bands.. anything that plays could be potentially released. The label would also be used to release remixes of popular tunes at the time remixed and made better (soulwax style) by the extremely talented resident Djs.

Step 4. - Merchandising
Once steps 1-3 are complete the brand will have now become an institution, known all across Manchester and the wider area. The merchandising would be difficult because there is nothing worse than completely selling out and becoming a cash cow, so this would initially start small with the brands' club themed gear so T-shirts,badges,wristbands, artistic photos etc. and then develop into more gear, basically top quality, cool keyrings, car stickers, posters whatever.

That is ultimately my dream job. I would absolutely love to set up something like that and see it develop so much and diversify.
I can't wait to get to uni and sow the seeds for this!
