On Friday i visited Cardiff for the first time for a university open day with my mum. Its a great city, i really like how its quite small so everything is within reach, and the university is really nice. The Student's Union was a bit of a let down, but Cardiff is safely now my 2nd choice uni after Leeds. I probably won't end up going there because the grades are the same as Leeds so I'll go there if i get them, but i was very impressed with Cardiff. We looked around the campus, then walked past the Millenium Stadium, then took a taxi down to Cardiff Bay which has recently been redeveloped and was really nice to have a look around. The journey back was an absolute nightmare, sheer volume of traffic and bad weather meant it took 5 and a half hours to get home, double what it was on the way down!

Me at Cardiff Bay
On return from Cardiff i had an 18th, the first of our mates, but it was really poor and i didn't have a good night at all.
Next day after rugby i went with my good friend Dan Marsden to the Man City-Chelsea game, which was really good. Robinho's debut, SWP's return aswell, the atmosphere was incredible and the stadium was sold out for the first time in ages. City lost 3-1 even though they scored first but i was still happy, they played some incredible football, some of the best I've seen at the club, and there is no shame in losing to a Chelsea side who are simply a class above everyone at the minute and who i would say are going to win the title. World domination takes time, and 3-1 flattered Chelsea so i was happy. The sheer ability of Robinho and United losing earlier in the day also helped!
The one thing I didn't like at the game was how after Terry's sending off it took him ages to leave the pitch as he and all the other Chelsea players surrounded the referee arguing. I don't like that side of football and its easy to see from that why everyone hates Chelsea.

While in Piccadilly station we saw Natalie Findlay, a Manchester singer who i was a bit of a fan of.. and she is HOT!! WOW! Anyway, she smiled at me which was nice, and she's talented so check her out. We also saw one of my favourite teachers about to start a night out in the Northern Quarter where it was "Going to get messy." Absolute legend.
Finally on the Saturday night i went with Dan and a load of his college mates and got a 45 minute train to Helsby, a small but pleasent village past Warrington off the M56 near Frodsham. We arrived at this house at about 12, some 20 year old guy was having a party and one of us knew him. We got there, a huge crowd of people were stood outside, some incredible music was being played through some incredible speakers and there was free booze. It was absolutely brilliant. At first we thought everyone hated us, because whenever we went into a room everyone would leave, but then we found out its because they thought we hated them. There were some pretty strange people there who were afraid of us even though we were much younger and just sat about singing acapella and jammin' upstairs in some little music room. (I was on bongos) Anyway, it was a great night, we didnt bother mingling in the end as it would have been too much effort so just sat about having a wicked laugh. Getting back today (Sunday) was an absolute nightmare, but we made it back in one piece, and i have had one of the best weekends I can remember!
