This weekend has been my busiest in quite a long while. On Saturday we had a school rugby tournament, but we got absolutely dicked on. We had some lads playing from year 11 for the school first team, which hasn't happened for years, and we were playing the best schools teams in the country (Sedbergh, Gloucester's Academy Side) and two other schools who were also really good so no-one is too dissappointed.
Saturday night wasn't great. It was 2 sets of twin's birthdays who I am close friends with so like 130 people were expected out. In the end a lot less came but there was still a huge number, and we all went to the Ritz in town. From Wetherspoons the night got worse and worse though, a load of black lads held up the tram by banging the roof and windows and singing Manchester songs so the police had to be called, so we all got taxis. We were already late and so by the time we arrived the queue was huge so we didn't get into the club until 12.30! It was absolutely rammed, and so sweaty, the most sweaty I've ever been in a club. You couldn't stand on the dancefloor for more than a song without being absolutely dripping so the night just wasn't enjoyable and the photos are awful. The music wasnt great either, I think they were trying for a summer holiday club sort of playlist instead of keeping it to the usual Manchester tastes which i Love. Afterwards i stayed at a friend's who i haven't seen in about a month which was good, and the next day i just chilled there.
Tonight i had an 18th in Hale but i was very tired, and couldn't be bothered making the effort with the people, which you need to. I didn't like the atmosphere, it all just felt wrong and really forced, like something from Living on the Edge which just isn't me.
I'm glad to be home in my own bed tonight!
