Nightmare!!

by IgorAkineev @ 29. Jul 2008 - 04:57:34 pm

Today my baby cousin came round, and i got a call from the police, the call which had meant to come over the weekend. They wanted me to sign some papers for the Viper, so i went down to the station and did what they wanted.

I am signing the papers saying "I am Willing" and reading through, when the description has been rewritten on the piece of paper, and it has changed. In my blog post on the 10th July, "Brushes With The Law" i wrote down the description given. Here It is.

"The girl said 5"0 - 5"7 (im 6"2 so thats way off) dark hair, short, long sideburns, sweeping fringe (that hair isnt as bad as it sounds btw, described in detail my uniform, pale complexion, and i had bags under my eyes."
The detailed description of my uniform wasn't so, it was more of black blazer, yellow badge so could have been a number of schools in the area to be fair.

On the piece of paper i was signing today, it said 5"7, long, sweeping hair slim build, pale complexion, bags under the eyes, and a black blazer with a red, blue, yellow/gold badge she claims is St. Ambrose!

I had to sign this piece of paper, but said to the guy thats changed since i last saw it, but he just raised his eyebrows and wasn't bothered. He isn't on the case, thats why he was doing this with me, because he knew nothing.. but the description has changed!!! To be more like me!!! I was so annoyed.

Also, i have a black eye at the moment from a rugby training game on Sunday, and all the officers were asking me, and when i said "Its from a rugby game" he said "Are you sure? Are you sure?"

I HATE THE POLICE!!!! I'm sure the next description of events they'll get is the guy had a black eye, and turned round after pinching the girl and said "By The Way, my name is Daniel Dixon and i live at number X on X Street!"

One good thing is that the girl has ticked the no other witnesses box, so if it went any further it would be my word against hers.

Liverpool Solicitor Visit

by IgorAkineev @ 28. Jul 2008 - 09:27:56 pm

Basically with all of the accusations of pinching a young girls' behind and the way the police handled my interview before i went to Kos, my mum thought it would be wise to get some legal advice, so today me, her and my dad drove to Liverpool to meet with this solicitor.
He seemed like an alright guy, he had to tell me what to do when i go in for these Viper photographs. Viper is basically an identification parade of me and other people who i choose in video format on a DVD. The DVD will be shown to the "victim" and if she doesn't pick me out from all of the other people then I'm in the clear. Basically he told me to choose people who look like me, but also people who look like the description the girl has given. I also should just wear a plain tshirt, no brand names or anything, and not do my hair in any way so i don't stand out. I basically have to look as normal as I can.

He also told me that i should have nothing to worry about as it wasn't me and he can't see it going further than it already has where I am concerned which is encouraging.

Flight Home

Kos!

by IgorAkineev @ 25. Jul 2008 - 03:39:02 pm

What a holiday. Seriously, i have never had one like it or enjoyed one so much. We arrived and the hotel was much, much better than i expected. There were no problems with cleanlieness as the reviews had suggested, and although the rooms got really hot and sweaty it was probably our own fault for having 3 in a 2 man room.. and air conditioning was avaliable. Anyway, pool tables, tennis tables, 24 hour bar and a wicked public pool meant it was brilliant and only 2 minutes walk from bar street for night time so i loved it.

We arrived and literally checked in, dumped our bags and then went out. Our first experience of bar street was a learning curve, we were new to it all so weren't very good at avoiding the bar reps so only got about halfway up before we moved on to this nightclub called Status with a group of lads from Reading (they became our holiday mates)cfor the night. Once we got there there weren't very many girls so we all got absolutely smashed and celebrated the start of our holiday.

Thursday was Tom's birthday, he was one of the 13 of us there so we all went out for a meal and then onto barstreet again. This is where half of us split up and went to Downtown (cheesy music), and the other half went to Starlight. Aparrently both had great nights, Tom had a good birthday, he woke up in a doorway on the other side of the island.. and all of us who went Starlight met a group of girls from London who we also kept in touch with for the rest of the week and who were a right laugh.
The next night everyone went starlight again for DJ Spoony's set but he was piss poor. He played the wrong tunes, like a "Craig David Exclusive" song being the climax of his set. He would start one song, play a bit of another then go back to the original song which i didn't like, he did too many shout outs to girls, and i was really annoyed because the tickets were 15euros each! Considering he was a radio 1 DJ i don't know how he got it so wrong!
The next night Saturday,we were back at Starlight again for the foam party which we had heard so much about. All over the internet all year and that day people had been talking about it, and it didn't let us down as Spoony had. The foam went about 6 and a half feet tall under the machines, and it would have been so easy to die without anyone noticing! Theres no way it was safe but it was too much fun to stay out of, so by the end of the night every inch of you smelled of soap and your eyes were red raw but it was so worth it.
The next night i think we all went to Status with some girls we knew from Manchester who had flown out the previous night, Monday everyone went back to Status but instead i went and met up with one of the London girls for the night, Tuesday night was Starlight again for the water party which was extremely sexy to be a part of.. it was like the Step Up 2 Trailer when they're all dancing with the sprinklers on.. The final night for me was back in status, and then i made my way to the airport the next night but had an absolute nightmare getting back.

I waited in the reception for my coach from 11.00pm onwards, it was meant to arrive between 11.30 and 12, so when it got to about 12.30-1 i asked at reception and he just said the flight must be delayed and thats why the coach wasn't there, so i just sat back down and didn't panic. When it got to 2.30 a coach pulled up and everyone in the reception got up and went to it, but when i showed the guy my ticket it wasn't for me. It was for the 5.40 Newcastle flight, my flight would already be boarding so he let me get on the coach and we made our way to the airport. I checked in at 3.00, but was so lucky because Thomas Cook hadn't sent a plane so there was a delay until 5 and we were now flying with Jet2.com. When i get there i asked the rep. what happened and why i had been left? She didn't know who i was and had nothing on me getting on her coach so i had been completely forgotten about. I wasn't happy, because if there hadnt been a delay i would have been stuck, but it wasn't my fault! I had been there early!

Apart from the panic at the end, it was such a good holiday, everyone was really friendly, older girls love a big group of 17 year old lads! We got up to loads of mischief, was a week of pure laughter, memories etc. When i get my camera back next week i will put some photos back on here.

At the moment i am 100% up for going back out and spending my summer working out there, i spoke to many reps and they said it was the best thing they'd ever done. I cannot wait.

Kos Buildup..

by IgorAkineev @ 14. Jul 2008 - 08:32:16 pm

So, the time is finally upon me! I have packed my bags all ready for my holiday to Kos. 12 of us are going to go absolutely mental, some there for 2 weeks, some for 1, I'm the only one going for 9 days.
I've been looking forward to it all year so as you can imagine i am absolutely buzzing at the moment, I'm like a small child just before christmas, but even more exited!
My flight there is on Wednesday from Manchester Airport but because i live quite far away I am staying at a friend's near the airport, and because of a driving lesson i am going to have no free time tomorrow night, so I've packed tonight.

Anyway, I won't be anywhere near a computer, or even capable if this holiday is going to be as good as I think, so farewell and I'll be back in a week and a bit! :D

Manual Labour..

by IgorAkineev @ 13. Jul 2008 - 11:46:16 pm

So i have been unemployed for 2 days and already have done another days work. I got a phonecall last night from a mate who was doing a favour for a girl we know's dad's company in helping out doing a bit of manual labour. Basically we went down to the Tatton Park where the Flower Show is approaching and helped out constructing one of the gardens which are going to be judged and viewed by the public. This one is designed for a disabled children's school in Oldham, and over the day whilst the older gardeners watched each other check if the wooden fencing was even, me and Tom shovelled about 2 tonnes of dirt filling in trenches and beds which will have flowers in shortly. We did the most work of anyone on our garden, a gruelling 9 hour day in the soaring heat for £50. I'm quite happy, its more than i would have earned at Debenhams on any Sunday!

And, a day's hard labour working on a piece at the highly prestigious Tatton Flower Show for the benefit of a load of disabled children is most definitely going to look good on my CV and Personal Statement! Its worth the blisters!

End Of Debenhams

by IgorAkineev @ 12. Jul 2008 - 12:41:08 pm

I haven't yet written about this, but Thursday night was my last shift at Debenhams. After 9 months I handed in my notice two weeks ago, and now i am unemployed. At the time it seemed like a good idea, i do need the weekends free next year, and a job where i can get more shifts in the week, which i can't get at Debenhams. Several other good friends at work were leaving or have left in the last few months, and another good friend is going in September to uni so i handed my notice in. Since then however, a relationship has become slightly more.. intense with a girl at work. We like each other, and when i handed my notice in there wasn't really anything and she told me she was going to do the same in the next few weeks. Anyway, in those 2 weeks there have been work nights out, and we've been through a lot, and her mum has told her she is not allowed (??) to leave Debenhams, which i cannot believe because she's 18! Anyway because of this over the last week and particularly the last few shifts she has been begging me to stay. I feel bad leaving now but its all been done, i even had a leaving do last Tuesday along with Ann and Annette who are also leaving, and i got a card signed by everyone and a chocolate thing with my name on!
Anyway, i have been sworn to keep in touch with many of the work people, and i genuinely will try my best to, but I'm not sure if I've done the right thing. I wasn't enjoying the work, but the social side was really good and I made loads of friends who i am starting to miss already. I'm literally taking any excuse to pop in, i did yesterday and now my reference is being posted to me, and i was telling them about all this stuff going on with the police. I also could have done with the money this summer..

Anyway, i saw a new bar opening in Warrington yesterday, called Rain just off Bridge St. so i rang up and left a message about being a glass collector when it opens and then barman when I'm 18 in January.. its less than 200 days away, i cannot wait!!

4 Old Men

by IgorAkineev @ 11. Jul 2008 - 01:36:57 pm

I was walking through Warrington market this morning and this happened..

4 Old Men are stopped in the pedestrianized area, 2 of them on "Mobility Scooters" and i am just walking past when..

Man#1: So, Frank, whats in the bag? Did you get that stuff for your lips?
Man#2: I got some - meeehhhhh!- vaseline!

All 4 men literally fall into hysterics, i thought the most fragile looking of them was about to die. It was the weirdest, most amusing thing thats happened to me all day. I cannot wait to get to that age to find vaseline and other trivial little things hilarious.

Brushes With The Law

by IgorAkineev @ 10. Jul 2008 - 08:44:44 pm

Over the last few days i have had a few brushes with the local police. Firstly there was a "serious sexual assault" on a woman at a derelict house like 6 houses down from me late on Tuesday night. The house has been sealed off, tape and people guarding it and forensics so I think we all know what they mean by "serious." I tried asking the guy guarding it what had happened but he wouldn't tell me but i read it in the paper later on. A few kids from round ours have had partys in there in the past, but nothing like that will be able to happen now. When it first happened there were rumors that because its waiting to be demolished the builders had lifted up the floorboards and found some Fred West shit in there but obviously not..

Secondly, I got a phone call last Thursday about an incident in Stockton Heath, involving someone matching my description. I turned up for my interview this morning to find out I am being accused of pinching a 12 year old girl's bum as she walked home from school. Now i can safely say it wasn't me now as I was in work and was cooking my tea (cheesy beans on toast) and getting a lift there from 4.30 onwards which is when its meant to happen, but i cannot actually prove anything to this policewoman I've realised. The description the poor girl has given is uncanny compared to me, my college matches the uniform, and although all they have is this girl's description to go on, i can't actually prove i wasn't there.
The girl said 5"7 (im 6"2 so thats way off) dark hair, short, long sideburns, sweeping fringe (that hair isnt as bad as it sounds btw, described in detail my uniform, pale complexion, and i had bags under my eyes. After the policewoman read that out she looked at me and said "Its you to a tee." So because of that i had fingerprints taken, DNA taken on a swab from my cheek, and a mugshot! All of this without legal representation because on the phone last week i was told mum could sit in with me, yet when we got there today she said i was being tried as an adult, but i hadn't sorted any legal representation so had to go on my own, which i now regret but i didn't want to wait, just wanted it over with. Anyway, they have been calling my work to check times, all of school knows, and thank the lord my friends are helping me see the funny side.
They are going to call me again in the next few days to go down to Runcorn to record myself for an ID parade in a method called "Viper?" but she said this could drag on all summer. Whoever has done it is looking at prison time if they have a criminal record and if not they'll be on the sex offenders register anyway.
In short, absolutely bricking it.

Does It Offend You? ..Perhaps not..

by IgorAkineev @ 05. Jul 2008 - 11:15:39 pm

Today my little 14 year old sister brought home a CD. She let me put it on my laptop, it was the debut album from "Does It Offend You, Yeah?" called "You Don't Know What You're Getting Yourself Into," Normally i would decline but for this band it wasn't the case. This is because i actually don't mind these guys, i saw them by accident with a friend at Manchester Academy last October, and was blown away but kind of lost touch with them.

That night we had drank a bottle of vodka and were walking down Oxford Road when a tout came up to us and asked need any tickets. Now we didn't have any other plans, so thought why the hell not and asked what the cheapest was. It was this very band, and even more convinced by their crazy (at the time) name we went for it. Academy 3 is not big, its about the size of my bedroom twice, but it was still half empty. An awful band by the name of We Smoke Fags supported, aswell as a not so bad Autokratz then DIOYY? came on. Us and the many 13 year olds we had been talking to all went crazy for DIOYY as they came on played their 5 song 20 minute set and then went. We were left in awe, yes that was the shortest set I'd ever seen, the support seemed to be on longer, but it was unbelievable, going mental for the whole thing, the band all jumping into the crowd and us all catching them.. great fun! I also got loads of stickers handed out and put them on various shop windows on the way back.
We went to the "afterparty" at the next door bar, Big Hands but my friend was too drunk and wanted to go home so i only got to talk to Autokratz and then we went. It was a fantastic night..

Anyway, this album isn't half bad, they're kind of electro, kiddy pop but I like them and always will because of that great night last winter. Even if my sister likes them! Epic Last Song is pretty mainstream and well worth a listen.

They also did really well at Glastonbury last weekend and played one of the sets of the weekend in the dance village, everyone went mental and got on stage. Or so I'm told.

Bouncers

by IgorAkineev @ 02. Jul 2008 - 09:47:48 pm

They are seriously corrupt. I had to resort to bribery to get my ID back after i got the birthday wrong. It was my friend's brothers but not the usual one i use so i said the wrong birthday. They confiscated it, gave me some form and said i had to get onto the Borough Council and speak to either Trading Standards or the police. (:O) The guy who's ID it was would have to pick it up in person, pay an £80 fine, i would be up to my neck in shit, both he and I would be barred from everywhere in Warrington so I had to resort to desperate measures.

I spoke to the guy and was straight with him, i told him i wasn't from round where we were, had never been here before and was probably never going back, and tried to appeal to his better nature. It turned out he was from kind of where my school is so i spoke to him about the pubs round there so he believed me. Then i said I would just walk away and he'd never see me again, still no. I'd pay the fine right there? Still no. I'd pay £100? Still no.
So here i walked away and tried to get a plan of action going. I went back and was speaking to the guy, told him the situation, Tom's at uni. so can't come for it, I can't get it confiscated or will get my head kicked in, and asked what i had to do to get it back. He still offered no suggestions so i looked him right in the eye and said I'd double the fine. Thats £160! I had just been paid the night before and that was half of my wages!
The guy thought i was joking, but now he knew how much i needed it. I'd been on a level with him and told him I simply couldn't afford to get it confiscated and get in trouble, I am 18 in like 5 months, and so i had to meet him round the back after a trip to the cash machine to get it back, which i did.

I still can't decide whether it was stupid (too much money) or smart thing to do? (saved a lot of people a lot of trouble and kept the police out of it)

Anyway, I am staying away from the club in question for another 207 days! (until my birthday) After that I'll be reet. Its a good story anyway.
