So today i started my A2 courses for next year.. Unlike how i thought it would be there is going to be work and it won't be as chilled as i would like, so i wont be able to get any weekday shifts after this week unless it seriously calms down, meaning less money for Kos which I am not happy about. Today was basically going through the exams or looking through next years syllabus and sorting our new teachers. Luckily my Philosophy teacher who we got at Christmas to replace one who retired isn't taking us next year, and we're getting the head of RE who is a much much better teacher and all round cool guy, even if he does dictate his beliefs onto his pupils. I'll be able to deal with that though.
It was good seeing everyone, as i knew it would be, and we spent free periods in the park, sunbathing haha. Throughout the day one by one everyone started dropping out of a night out planned for tonight so in the end it was only 2 people i liked and 5 who i didn't or wasn't mates with,so i pulled out aswell..
To be honest i wasn't up for it, i want to be alright for rugby training tomorrow, and Holland-Italy was on tonight and i wanted to watch it! I did and it was good, I'd have my money on Holland over Germany to win the tournament now, i was very impressed.
Just a small post.

haha its fine.
Our philosophy teacher was talking to us about this, we do focus on Christianity and Catholicism, and we don't really look at any others in depth, but the teacher made sure to emphasise how he will challenge someone not believing in Christianity as he will challenge someone who does believe.
He also said he would never imprint his beliefs on any pupils or try and brainwash anyone, but in reality he does talk about his beliefs in great detail and because he is in a position of authority some people always take what he says and follow that so its inevitable.
But i have a Sikh friend at another school aswell as other religions and their philosophy and RE lessons have always been completely different from ours.
We are a Catholic school and College though so i wouldn't expect to be taught overly about anything else, and to be honest its pretty insignificant to me because i haven't actually got any firm beliefs over anything, although there is definitely a supreme being, but i don't think he's the personal caring one we're taught about.
That was an absolute essay!

Hi Dan,
Does your school give an equal look at all faiths or do they basically just promote Christianity?
