Flawed Heroes..

by IgorAkineev @ 05. Apr 2008 - 08:34:06 pm

Theres this band that i love, i mean, really love. I've paid to see them live twice and also bought my Glastonbury ticket last summer with them in mind. I bought their CD the day it was released, (i NEVER buy CDs these days) and go on their website and a band-member's blog at least once a week. I wont name the band or band-member unless you ask really nicely, because i dont think you'll want to feel let down as i am!
Now this band-members blog is what has provoked this post. This guy is really cool, when he was on stage he's always good to watch, he's good at guitar, but now after reading his blog post its just not the same.He has a blog, as do i, but his, nobody comments it at all! (i normally get one a post and im no keen, popular guy on here!)I mean seriously, i look up and down through all of his posts, and he has no comments. Now this is extremely shallow of me, judging people by their comments, im sure you will agree but this isn't even the main point.

This guy's blog is filled to the brim with spelling mistakes. Not even small mistakes, he puts "accept" instead of "except." This is what disappoints me the most. He was one of four heroes of mine in this band, and yet he is thick as pigshit!
I guess everyone is human but this guy wasn't in my eyes, i idolized this band, and now.. will never be able to in quite the same way.

I suppose the moral is, don't get too involved or dive too deep into your hero's lives as there's always something you don't like!

I'm like that with people who use there instead of their :o)

I'd love to know what band you're talking about

I couldn't possibly disclose such information, would feel like i'd betrayed them!

Haha, no worries. This just means I'll have to think of all the bands you're likely to love and Google their blog :o)
