So i went to the rugby meeting yesterday and after probably the only de-motivating team talk I've ever been to (bored everyone to death) i got told i would be sub. I was really happy when i heard this, as i really wanted to be involved, and i thought that by forgetting my kit on Thursday i'd missed my chance for this Saturday.
Because of the rugby match i didnt go out on Friday night, and tried to keep it a reasonably early night so i'd be fresh and whatever. Thinking back i dont think i ever could have been fresh for an 8.15 meet at the bus station. Everyone were zombies, it was that early.
We arrived at Merchants Taylors and did a bit of a warm up before the game which got everyone's heads on. 2nd XV is a taken a lot more seriously by the majority of players i noticed. Surprisingly there wasnt a minute's silence, and then we went ahead with an early try. We kept that lead until halftime, when some changes were made to the front row. Sir asked me where i played, "Second row isnt it Dan?" but i played prop last season. He then said i couldnt play there because my build had changed over summer. Damn! That means i'll hardly get any minutes this season.. 1st and 2nd team 2nd rows are amazing, theres loads of them aswell. I was the last sub to go on, replacing Biesty only when his boot sole snapped. I was hoping to get on a bit sooner, but there was nothing i could do.
Straight away, at like the first rook there was i got an arm to the nose, and had blood gushing from my nose for the rest of the match. I had to keep wiping it on my shirt, it was the worst nosebleed I've had but it wasnt painful or worth anyone's concern, it was just a bit of a nuisance. I think i did OK overall, was getting stuck in, i nearly scored on the break after being support for our flanker who dodged about 3 tackles but i got taken down by the last man. I won a lineout for our team aswell without being lifted which was good. I'll get better and more confident with more games and training sessions.

When i got home i was hoping on going out but i fell asleep on the sofa, and when i woke up had missed England football and rugby games. Micah Richards played amazing i hear, and his goal was good (I saw it on the news) Wright-Phillips (England) and Steven Ireland (Rep. Of Ireland) scored aswell, while Nedum Onuoha also scored the night before for the U-21s showing just how good the City academy is these days! I was talking with Sam W (city seasoncard holder) whilst on the bench and me and him are going to go together to City V. Norwich in the Carling Cup.

So anyway, when i woke up i had no missed calls and was still a bit tired so decided to stay in, so me and mum and dad had a game of monopoly which was fun. Haven't done that in years.

Today I've got some history reading to do, and we'll probably finish off the Monopoly game but thats about it. I wonder if you can play monopoly online.. or Risk?
