"Life Is To Be Lived"

by IgorAkineev @ 24. Aug 2007 - 10:13:27 pm

Its been a very eventful few days.
I'd been staying in preparing for my GCSE results when news came through from Clarke that his great aunty had died. She was about 60 and had had cancer which had spread to the whole of her body, so he said he wasnt upset, as now she wasnt suffering, but he was shocked. Just 3 months ago she was perfectly healthy and now she was dead, he said it really put things in perspective. His whole family were crushed by it, he said it was really bad, but he felt really bad for his nana, as it was her best friend. He's worried that the grief could make her ill, which would be really bad as she's an absolute rock to him.
It got me thinking that life can so easily be taken away and we really dont know how lucky we are, life is to be lived and all those cliche sayings came to mind.
These thoughts then helped me through the next day. I went into school with niall and his mum for results (my mum was working and my dad's car was in the garage being fixed) so Shelia was like my sub-mum. I got 6 As 4 Bs and a C which was a vast improvement from my mocks but still less than i was predicted. I am happy with them, and so are my mum and dad as its roughly what they got but i have a feeling some teachers wont be. I am not particuarly driven at school though and the results were fair for the amount of work i did. In comparison with my friends they were good, not the best, but good.
Some girls were getting upset about them but it really wasnt worth it as nothing can be done now and its not like any of them are going to end up homeless or unemployed. These girls are from Hale afterall!

We all got in to where we want to go bar one guy, but he was close and as he's already at the school and has teachers to vouch for him hopefully he'll get in on appeal. I am really happy for everyone with their results, as no-one did badly really.. all the results were fair and now we can get back into school routine in a few weeks at sixth form, which i am really looking forward to.

To celebrate basically the rest of the day was a huge binge, had a phenomenol amount to drink, and went to the printworks in manchester. Everyone remembers their first results night.. and i have nothing but good memories.

I am really into heroes at the moment, its brilliant, although i watched one episode on my own and am not sure if a charachter has died or not.
I watched the Bourne Ultimatum too, and that was really good.
