I should really tell you about my favourite band at the moment.
Foals are from Oxford, and they're incredible. I have only heard two songs in full, but loads of other people are kicking up a fuss about them so they must be as good as the two i've heard. They have designed the artwork themselves for their new single "Hummer" (great song), and its really nice. If i could paint or draw like that or be artistic at all to that level i'd be pretty pleased.
They're touring as the support with another favourite band, The Sunshine Underground (who had the twang supporting last time) this month but theyre playing at The Ritz (18+) which is a bit of let down. Theyre also on the Transgressive Roadshow which is going to Liverpool but i've never been there and dont think im about to start now.
But yeah, everyone take a look at them because they probably will be the next big thing

Last night i watched the first hour and a half of "The Day After Tomorrow" on film4. Not the first time i've seen it but that tidal wave into America and the tornadoes are incredible. I also saw the trailer for 28 weeks later on someone's blog on here and it looked amazing, so im renting 28 days later tonight so i'll understand the sequel better. Will Keep You Posted.
After browsing the BBC news site i found this:
Live Boom In UK Music Scene
Seems a slightly misguided article based on the closure or threatening financial position of many live venues like the Hammersmith Palais, London Astoria and Parr Hall with many more in the same position across the nation.
The Virgina school shootings in America: How can anyone seriously blame the police for that? Blame the American Gun Laws.
