In - Weekend

by IgorAkineev @ 29. Apr 2007 - 12:42:04 pm

So, this weekend is at my house.

Not seen anyone else.. they've all been at Nialls.

I'm not arsed, coz i did say that i was staying in this weekend. I missed out though.. again. Trampoline fun sounded great.

I'm doing my french..
City lost...

I have watched swordfish though. Great film. That ball bearings bomb sequence is class, and a good ending aswell.

Phonebooth was on so watched that aswell for the 5th time, only realising this time that the caller actually WAS keifer Sutherland. I'd previously had my suspicions.

More fun next time hopefully!

Top Of The World!

by IgorAkineev @ 26. Apr 2007 - 11:37:39 pm

Is amazing.
I'm on such a high.

Geography coursework is finished, and printed. Its such a weight off my shoulders.

At school today did loads, in PE and Games i couldnt put a foot wrong. Was great. Cricket and volleyball, my two new favourite summer sports!! haha.

Doing bits of revision at home, and now the coursework is all done will really be able to "up my game" as it were. I'll feel good and productive for that. I've done a lot of RE work tonight after the teacher's rant at me, so i feel good and productive for that.

And i just watched one of my favourite films on Film4, The Core. If you're into your films you wont approve due to the shaky plot, but i love the story, and apocalypse films in general but hey, Its for the family really.
Watching all of these people do the unthinkable, and travel to the center of the earth, save the world and all die noble deaths apart from the two prettiest of the group (they survive) just leaves me feeling good about myself, and at the end of the day i guess thats whats really important.

Also, theres a party next weekend to look forward to. Might stay in completely this weekend, get some extra work done and feel even better about myself just in time for this little shindig.

And then i'll party better than the rest.

Thats the norm anyways.

I like to have a good time.

Its not a bad thing!

My Favourite Worst Nightmare

by IgorAkineev @ 25. Apr 2007 - 05:32:37 pm

Life is hardly a worst nightmare at the moment.

That Arctic Monkeys album is incredible though!! Summer 2007 now has its soundtrack. Am definitely going to see them at Glasto now, and those LCC Tickets are more cherished now. There isnt a bad song on it, fantastic album!!

Enter Shikari arent playing Glasto though.. gutted. Im not really into them but they do a hell of a live show aparrently.

School was bad today though. I'll be the first to admit i haven't been putting any effort in. But today my RE teacher, normally a firm favourite said he doubted i'd be able to repeat getting a B in the summer exam.
I was disappointed with a B in the last one! was going for an A overall!!

"You've completely lost focus," In front of the whole class.

Wasnt worth arguing, i had been a moob all lesson, its probably the kick up the backside i need.

Geog Coursework is.... DONE!

Who's At YOUR Dinnerparty??

by IgorAkineev @ 23. Apr 2007 - 08:12:31 pm

Mondays are horrible.

Dec came in to school today, imaginative as ever, challenging all of us to come up with a list of 9 names of guests to our dinnerparty (they could be anyone, but not charachters), two waitresses, a chef, and a band to play.

Mine was...: Stalin
John Lennon
Princess Diana- My only memory of her was her death
Lil' John - To Make it "Krunk" (Ahem,)
Mary Magdalene - DaVinci code makes me curious, any descendants of Jesus?
Eddie Murphy- Funny man(wanker apparently)
Angelina Jolie-Hot. Holds many secrets also
George Lucas- I wanna hear about Star Wars!!
Michael Jackson- Would have many stories

Waitresses: Mel B - To pour stuff on Eddie Murphy
Myleene Klass - Lets face it, she'd look great.

Chef: Ainsley Harriot - No man more qualified.

Band: The Kinks - Brought up on them, more imaginative than Beatles or Rolling Stones too.

Alex Turner was on there, but he has too strong an accent, Stalin wouldnt understand.

Thats the only interesting thing from today... boring!

My Weekend..

by IgorAkineev @ 22. Apr 2007 - 03:24:03 pm

Friday was a bad day. The illness all became too much so couldn't go to school, the day was spent on the sofa with a duvet and the tv remote which was actually not too bad. Waking up was weird though. I had no recollection of mum or dad coming in and saying i couldnt go to school, so i woke up at 11 with a half eaten tray of food by my bed and i was pretty confused. Walking about the house with no-one there, it was exactly like 28 days later that i watched on.. Monday?

I watched, Jeremy Kyle x2, and loads of episodes of One Tree Hill. Since when has Pete Wentz been an actor??!! I actually found it very entertaining, and so watched a few episodes on youtube, including the school shooting. E4 stopping showing the rest of this series because of that episode and the timing with Virginia and everything was an unnecessary gesture in my opinion. Its just a show.

Everyone went to Con's but i was too ill so i watched Peep Show again, not as funny as the first episode but still good. I have high hopes for the series.

Saturday was spent working, and i went to the pub to meet Clarke, Dan and Con in the early evening. Just caught the last half hour of United drawing with Middlesborough. Brilliant. It put Clarke and Conor into a bad mood though, so the one word to describe them for the following one hour was, Dicks, but was still worth it.
I wouldn't be too suprised if United win nothing this season. Anything can happen in the FA Cup, United wont beat AC Milan, and if Chelsea win today the league is anyone's.

Saturday night was ok, not brilliant. Was on a course of anti-biotics but didnt let that stop me. Light drinking, its all good. The conversations when we've been going out though have all been the same topics, so nights are becoming a bit samey now. I cant wait until summer where i'll have more of an option to go and meet some new people. I love doing that it refreshes you.

I've basically finished all my history notes now, i still need to polish off my geography coursework, but i did my first bit of maths revision yesterday and it went horribly. I'm gonna need help with that.

Mum taped swordfish from last night for me so i'll probably end up watching that tonight. Good times. I want to see that sequence with the rotating camera and the ball bearings bomb. I saw how it was made on T4 a while ago. Looks incredible.

Hope your weekend was more eventful than mine! ha!

First Day Back... (At school)

by IgorAkineev @ 19. Apr 2007 - 07:03:31 pm

I suppose we're lucky, most schools have been back since the start of the week.

Still today wasnt brilliant. It was nice to see everyone again, but i felt a bit guilty after not seeing a few people in the holidays. I didnt really have any lessons with them today so tomorrow everything will be back to normal.

School was so tiring though, going for a good sleep tonight hopefully.

Turns out i havnt finished my geography cousework afterall

+ My french speaking GCSE is in 3 weeks but i have no sheets yet
+ I have a history test tomorrow
+ Con was a bit off for a bit today. Sure its nothing.

Not major problems really but hey, not a lot else to say.

I watched Bring It On: All Or Nothing today. Waste of time. Wasnt expecting it to be anything better than awful though.

1 more day till the weekend!

Illness..

by IgorAkineev @ 18. Apr 2007 - 06:41:56 pm

I have come to the conclusion that a current cold i am experiencing (at summer?!!) is from the trolley incident a couple of nights back.

Being out until the early hours in shorts and Tshirt is a definite no-no for me now. Jumpers, hats and scarves i think!!

And Mittens.

I have my physics tutor in about half an hour. He's welsh.
Brilliant.

www.bbc.com/radio1

Listen to the arctic monkeys gig on there. Its great.

She Likes Her Toilet Humour.

by IgorAkineev @ 18. Apr 2007 - 12:09:20 pm

A briefer post...

Geography Coursework - Nailed It

28 Days Later - Was very good. Not an 18 though. I never knew thats what Sean Of The Dead was a spoof of.

Ali G In Da House - Is Still Funny. Is it weird that i watch that sort of thing often with my mum? She likes her toilet humour.

Today is the last day of my holidays, so im doing nothing all day.
Well, maybe sleep. Not a lot else.

Have a good day!

Foals And Films

by IgorAkineev @ 17. Apr 2007 - 11:50:53 am

I should really tell you about my favourite band at the moment.

Foals are from Oxford, and they're incredible. I have only heard two songs in full, but loads of other people are kicking up a fuss about them so they must be as good as the two i've heard. They have designed the artwork themselves for their new single "Hummer" (great song), and its really nice. If i could paint or draw like that or be artistic at all to that level i'd be pretty pleased. null

They're touring as the support with another favourite band, The Sunshine Underground (who had the twang supporting last time) this month but theyre playing at The Ritz (18+) which is a bit of let down. Theyre also on the Transgressive Roadshow which is going to Liverpool but i've never been there and dont think im about to start now.
But yeah, everyone take a look at them because they probably will be the next big thing :D www.myspace.com/foals

Last night i watched the first hour and a half of "The Day After Tomorrow" on film4. Not the first time i've seen it but that tidal wave into America and the tornadoes are incredible. I also saw the trailer for 28 weeks later on someone's blog on here and it looked amazing, so im renting 28 days later tonight so i'll understand the sequel better. Will Keep You Posted.

After browsing the BBC news site i found this:
Live Boom In UK Music Scene
Seems a slightly misguided article based on the closure or threatening financial position of many live venues like the Hammersmith Palais, London Astoria and Parr Hall with many more in the same position across the nation.

The Virgina school shootings in America: How can anyone seriously blame the police for that? Blame the American Gun Laws.

Nade's 21st + Shopping Trolley Mischief.

by IgorAkineev @ 16. Apr 2007 - 02:00:39 pm

I went to Conor's this afternoon and gave Nade a bottle of champagne from my mum for her birthday. "You're only 21 once"
This mindless act of generosity then got me an invite to the afterparty, at Andy's (Nade's boyfriend) that night.

The weather was amazing this afternoon so me, Con, Andy, and Pat (Con's little 7 year old cousin) played football in the front garden. Pat is a little prodigy, he's amazing at football for a 7 year old. When i was that age i was like a girl at football, but he was flickin it over mine and Andy's heads, putting it through our legs, it was incredible.

The weather was still good that night so me and Con(and the spatula from last night) got a lift to Springbank and met up with Dan, Clarke, Rosie and Caferine. Chilled there on the swings for a bit and then walked into the village and got a crate of Kronenburg that we then drank round the back of Iceland. Dan threw the spatula up in the air and it crashed down, making loads of noise so some neighbours came out and shouted, so we decided to move. We went into the next car park and there was a shopping trolley. We still had about a quarter of the crate left, and half a bottle of cider, so we put that in the trolley and started pushing eachother about in the trolley. Caf and Rosie had a plan to stay out longtime but it backfired so they had to get picked up at like 10.30, so it was me, Dan, Con and Clarke for the 3rd night in a row, about to paint the town red.

Wielding spatula and trolley we started walking towards Andy's for this afterparty, and Con did his traditional thing when he saw a gascgoine halman for sale signe. Ripped it out of the ground and put it into the trolley. But it didnt stop there.

With the streets deserted, we were walking round a seriously nice area (tons of footballers live nearby) with a shopping trolley full of beer, a plant pot, two for sale signs, a solar light, a number 2, and several builder's signs. Whenever a car came past we scuttled into the shadows and doorways and everything was fine.

A man walking his dog thought it was really funny, "To be young" he said. Another such man didnt. He must've driven past us in his Bentley or something because this guy chased after us and asked where we were from. Where we got the stuff, so we just made up we'd found it. There was nothing else he could do so he told us to "make yourself scarce, get away from here or i'll get the security patrol on you"

Normally we would've ignored this warning as we only had one main road to cross before we got to Andy's, but none of us wanted ASBOs or anything so we ditched the trolley full of stuff in a dark corner, grabbed the alcohol and spatula and walked on.

We got to Andy's and all was good. Andy was amazed by the spatula story from the previous night, so he rang up and made a ransom call.
"You'll get your precious pizza flipper back for two donner kebabs and a chicken burger... in three minutes" They laughed, and hung up. We can never go back there again..

Nade's birthday had to end with fireworks before everyone left. We had four rockets, and despite my pleas they wouldn't aim them at a massive tree in a distant garden three doors down. It was all done nice and proper and a huge success, until rocket#3. "I dedicate this to you Nade," and that was it. Something was certain to go wrong. There was a moment when the sparks started flying out of the bottom of the rocket, and everyone realised what was going to happen. "Oh... SH!!" BOOM and sparks flew everywhere, over the house, over the fence, at next door, so we decided to stop. Aparently the neighbours were moody and would report us so we had no choice.

We went inside and the elders started reminising about the time that Bowdon Bonfire went wrong about 5-6 years ago, and they had all been in attendance. I'd never heard about this before so it was a wicked story, but a girl lost an eye so its not brilliant really..

We left in a taxi with Sam and Gemma, and got in at about 1. Action-packed to say the least.

More nights like that please!

Im spending today finishing off my Geography coursework thats been outstanding for close to a year. Im not going to the Enemy at HMV afterall. Too tired.

Laters!!

"He's Our Boss"

by IgorAkineev @ 15. Apr 2007 - 04:02:33 pm

Last night was distinctly mediocre.

A variety of pubs due to early closing times because we were the only people there. Half watching match of the day (Uriah Rennie not fit for refereeing) and then some sweaty kebab.

After we left Altrincham it got a lot better. Got a taxi, and then the drama began. We got out, the guy overcharged us because he dropped us off further than where we wanted. And he lockd the doors and wouldnt let us out until we paid the extra £3. We paid it in 10ps and he went crazy haha.

So, we're out of the taxi, and pinochio's (best takeaway in the land) is closed. Im already full from my sweaty kebab earlier so i dont want anything, but for everyone else, this is a disaster.

The people are still there, laughing at us banging on the windows to make them open, until someone shouts "He's our boss", at which point they all start pissing themselves and let us in.

It turns out my main man conor looks like their boss but without a moustache. They all find this hilarious, and start going "He's our boss, I want a payrise!!" and were all like little boys on christmas. It was hilarious. They put some spare chicken and chips on and then started taking pictures of conor next to the giant pinochio on their wall. "hahahahaha" they were screaming. Classic.

We got our food, and then Dan took the tone of the evening down. We were halfway home, and he pulled out of his pocket, the pinochio's pizza flipper. Now i don't know about you, but i was horrified by this, we were now fugitives, and being on a council estate (not always true), there were sirens everywhere. We then nearly got mugged for cigs by a group of about 15 10 year olds, but we ran for safety.

Then we stayed up till about 7 in the morning just talking and laughing, waking conor's mum up many times. Clarke and Dan left at 7, and Dan got in just as his mum and dad were waking up so as far as they knew he'd been in since 11.30 like he said. Me and Con went to bed and then woke up again at 12 after the sweatiest sleep ever (worse than my kebab!)

Kebabs are disgusting, and made worse when you're not drunk. I felt so bad today that i actually took up my dad's offer of a bike ride. And now im off out to con's sister's 21st party, and then goin park after hopefully.

Until next time!!

"YOU'VE BEEN DUMPED" + re-introduction

by IgorAkineev @ 14. Apr 2007 - 03:41:55 pm

I've thought about it and a blog is meant to be my thoughts.
Not the thoughts of some Eastern-European Hulk of an Alterego, so please let me reintroduce myself.

I am Dan, 16 of Warrington, however i go to school in Greater Manchester and thats where i am most weekends so thats where im listed as.

The funniest thing that has happened to me today was probably listening to the radio.

"And now for the news"
The news jingle comes on and then one main story. Short, yet not so sweet.

"Prince William has been dumped by his girlfriend"

How humiliating must that be. People dying in Iraq, FA Cup semi-finals, the grand national, and the top story is that you have just been dumped. And now the whole country knows what a loser you are. Great.

It will have got him down but i couldnt help but laugh a little bit.

Im goin round to the best mate's house later to watch United-Watford. Come on the hornets!! (Im a man city fan)If there is an upset i wont be allowed to celebrate though.. because he'll hit me haha. His way of dealing with losing. He doesnt take it very well. It would make my day though.

And im DEFINITELY out tonight after last nights "failure" but it was made better by Peep Show being soooooo funny. I was wetting myself. "I went to the big chill with four cans, but it all got a bit much so dad came to pick me up" "Im a woman, you're a man." "Technically" Cannot wait to get it all on DVD and watch again.

I love Mitchell and Webb, theyre so funny, but Blunder was crap. The apple ads are good aswell.

I was on the phone to a friend earlier and she was telling me about the Derren Brown show that was on last night and it sounded really weird and entertaining, but i hate the guy so chose not to watch it. He's just as bad as Russel Brand in my opinion.

I missed transmission aswell last night. Bloc Party, Klaxons and The Enemy. Have seen the first two at Mancheter Academy within like 3 days of eachother last school holidays, and am seeing The Enemy at HMV on Monday so that will be good.
I saw Larrikin Love at HMV a while ago aswell, which was good. Anyway, i forgot to tape it but im not too bothered as will probably go and see all of them at Glastonbury in summer.

It turned out i was being paranoid about the friends yesterday. That put the blog on a bit of a downer really, it was starting to sound like most other people's at that point, all about problems. I dont really like reading them, it makes me depressed myself, but also opens your eyes that some people have it all a lot worse than you do which can be a good thing to see. Its probably different with every case.

I must go anyways. Back to my biology revision. Seriously, ask me anything about Active transport and all that.

I'll blow your mind!

Friday Night... Spent at home?

by IgorAkineev @ 13. Apr 2007 - 10:00:14 pm

I hate nights like these.

An old school friend who moved to Liverpool after a rough time is back for one night only, and everyone wanted to go out. I was well up for it so as said in last post worked for like all day so could go out.

I have no money due to me payin £23 for two taxis that came to about £50. There were 6 other people with us that night. People owe me money and booze (i provided a crate of fosters that night) which i've yet to see any intention of people refunding.

All the mates went town, my two bestest included, and no-one thought to mention to me. When i ring up to try and organise tonight its like me ringing is an insult or something? They cant wait to get off the phone. Maybe im just being a bit paranoid. (i tend to do it a bit) I feel let down for the guy from Liverpool, one night only and i couldnt go out to see him.

I know i wasnt the only person staying in though.. and peep show is back on tonight so that softens the blow.

Also today, despite all the uncertainty over Glastonbury tickets with money not being withdrawn and stuff, i rang up their office, and i definitely have tickets, the delay is down to seetickets.com so thats good i suppose.

Definitely out tomorrow night. Not having a lonely weekend. Need to get out more these hols however.. in a bit.

Introduction

by IgorAkineev @ 13. Apr 2007 - 03:32:54 pm

Before i begin, let me introduce myself.

My name is not really Igor Akineev. Thats a simple alias to keep the protection of my identity.
I dont really want to pronounce who i am, i just want to tell a story and express myself, hopefully you'll find it interesting.

Some of the place names and basicaly all of the people in this blog will have their names changed so no-one gets into trouble, and i dont really have the time nor energy to ask people if the object to being included in this story.

This blog is in the run-up to my gcse's, the gcse summer (which is going to be incredible) and glastonbury 2007, so there will be plenty of ups and downs and interesting details to write about. A lot of turbulence, and maybe other people will share some similar experiences. Its basically to satisfy a large creative urge i have at the moment, so its impossible to tell how long this could last.

So to get myself started, i should really talk about my day. I have been sat in my house doing some physics revision and setting this up inbetween. I am not the best at physics and have a tutor, so hopefully should get around a B in it, but i dont really want to go into school at the moment.
At my house at the moment we have a bit of work going on. The back gate is being replaced, but it has been made more complicated as the ignorant people in the house before us built the frame around the gate, so anything we try to buy from the.. garden center? Not sure if thats right. Any gate we try and buy basically doesnt fit, so we had to get some workers in to fill the gaps with filler, although i must say its looking good. My mum and dads room is getting decorated aswell, so their stuff is all over the house, and theres a man in their room wallpapering everything in sight. Change is afoot in the Akineev household.

So far my Easter holidays have been spent watching football, gymming, going to the pub (naughty!?) and partying it up (once). Apart from that its just been revision. Gutted. Everyone's got to do it so im not really getting down a bit.

This is a very large post, and its only my first so i'll finish there. But theres lots more so until next time!
